Hi team,
I'm wondering if anyone can help. A woman I know from another list is
gettting hassled at work for pumping. She has given me permission to ask
her - I thought someone might be in her area and know of a good resource for
her. I have already suggested the LLL site\. She lives in Delaware.

". I am currently expressing milk at my job and I have
| been doing so for the past 4 months. I use to pump twice a day but I kept
| on getting this feeling that people I work with werent to pleased about me
| taking these "extra" breaks even though I would pump on my lunch break and
| just eat my
| lunch at my desk. When I kept feeling uneasy at work I decided to pump
only
| once in the afternoon for 30 minutes. Well I have been pumping everyday
at
| work for the last 4 months. Today my supervisor told me that the person
| above her (which is also a female) is complaining about me taking time to
| express my milk even though other employees get 2 or more 15 minute breaks
| to smoke, go to the bathroom, go get food, etc... I feel as though the
head
| boss is discriminating against me and was wondering if there was any
advice
| or information that you could give me. I would really hate to have to
stop
| expressing my milk for my 6 month old son. I plan to breastfeed him until
| he weens himself and I think that if I stop pumping my supply will
diminish
| to almost nothing! "

Kirsten
