While I was nursing my third child - now almost seven years old, I also had
deep shooting pain in my breasts, for about the same duration of time as the
client of Anne Stiller in VA. I had no difficulty with my milk supply, and
the pain ebbed eventually went away. My physician also had no clue. This was
before I was a CLC, and my LLL group had no suggestions. I had a client who
had similar symptoms who turned out to have thrush, but her pain was more
 nipple based.

As well as being a CLC, I am also a pediatric Occupational Therapist. I had a
five month old pt. last month who had Botulism toxin- caught from wind
spores, not food. Her mother had some information that breastmilk fed infants
were less ill and healed faster than ABM fed infants, and in fact this baby
made a good recovery on EBM, NG tube fed while she was too weak to suck. Does
anyone have any iformation on Breastmilk and Botulism toxin ?
