Hello!

My name is Rachel Simpson and I am a mother of one baby boy, Owen - 11 months. I live in downtown Denver, Colorado (USA). I have been breastfeeding since my son's birth, and I plan to continue until he self-weans, sometime in early childhood. I am also a full-time working mother (outside the home) and have been since my son was 7 weeks old. My husband and I practice AP and have developed some very creative ways to meet our family's needs while I have continued to work outside the home.

Professionally, I am an historian and historic preservation specialist (I preserve old buildings) for the State of Colorado. However, I am in the process of becoming a LLL leader, and I hope to change careers in a few years to become a lactation consultant. While I enjoy my current career, I am seeking a career in a profession that I care deeply about, and one that will allow me greater flexibility to work from home (hopefully in my own private practice), so I can spend more time with my son (and any future children).
