I need information as I have not gotten organized enough to send away for
Dr. Tom Hale's new book.

I have a nursing mother who may need antituberculosis medications. She is
a recent TB converter after treating a patient with very infectious and
severe pulmonary tuberculosis. I have not heard if she will only need
isoniazid or both rifampin and isoniazid. Baby is about 22 pounds and is
16 months old. I know we give babies themselves isoniazid if they are
contacts themselves but I don't know how much gets into the milk or
anything about rifampin.

TIA
