The article is actually in Pediatrics, January 1997, and it is by Dr.
Greer and others.  Basically the article says you can raise vitamin K
levels in the milk by giving mothers lots of vitamin K to eat as
pills.  However, I agree with Dr. Greer and Dr. Gartner, that if the
baby has received his vitamin K intramuscularly at birth (I think the
association of intramuscular vitamin K with cancer was a non starter),
the risk of developing hemorrhage in the exclusively breastfed baby
approaches zero.  But the exclusively breastfed baby's vitamin K level
in the blood is 1/2 the adult's level when the baby is 6 weeks old.
