I'm not feeling defensive, really, just frustrated that the question of formula purchasing NEEDS to be discussed with congressional representatives in every state. They are indeed under pressure from industry- what else is new? We need to pressure even MORE so they understand that this scheme is not acceptable anymore, and they need to listen to their nutrition advisors- who tried and failed not that long ago to put a stop to the taxpayer paying for designer additive-laced formulas. Why has this been allowed to continue? Because of pressure from industry that was stronger than that frow several very powerful WIC Associations. http://www.calwic.org/storage/documents/federal/2010/formulabrief.pdf
