I don't have any information on this medication (other than what I could find
if I looked it up when I get to work in the morning).  I do wish that more
doctors would move away from telling mothers they can or can't breastfeed.  I
think that their role/and possibly our role, is to find the information
that's available, and share this with the mother so that she can make a
choice in the matter.
In a discussion I was in recently, a Doctor said that there are "black and
white" issues (those that there is a clear right and wrong answer) and there
are gray issues.  His point was that maybe the parents should be making the
decisions on the gray issues, rather than the Doctor.
Of course involved in this decision would be the risks of infant formula,
unless there is a source of banked human milk.
I hope you are able to get more information on this medication.  Couldn't a
lab check for a level of the medication in her milk?
