Prolactin and oxytocin are *human hormones*.  You can not be sure what is
causing your reaction to witnessing a latch.  But think of it - hormones are
chemical messengers.  We did not fully know the totality of their function
(probably never will, in my opinion).  It may very be that those hormones in
particular are mediating your reaction to what you see.  Would be an
interesting research project.
