Is she on the pill? This has been associated with chronic yeast infections. Has she been on antibiotics? Also, any chance hubby is the carrier? She needs to look at all that touches her vaginal area, including shower loofas. Does she exercise and not shower right away, but stay in the moist clothing for awhile? This woman is reinfecting herself and she doesn't know it.

She really should start a probiotic and reduce the sugar in her diet. Just eating yogurt with live bacteria is not enough.
