Isn't vitamin D deficiency a problem because of sunscreen? I know the
use of sunscreen on young babies is questionable, so, although babies
are kept out of direct sun they probably get enough vitamin D, but what
about older breastfed babies? Even if they're not exclusively breastfed,
many of them don't get any vitamin-D enriched dairy. I never thought it
was a problem before, either, but it is a hot topic. Also, we have
several Native babies in our Group. Anyone have any ideas? Just
sunscreen and more sun?
Jo-Anne
