I'm working with a Mom nursing an eight week old and Mom is complaining
of burning pain moving from the chest wall towards the nipple in one
breast. The pain is worse at night and at the end of feedings. Mom
denies signs of yeast in baby or herself.

This doesn't sound like the shooting pain of a intra-ductal yeast
infection, IMHO. Have any of you wise women had experience with this
type of complaint? Mom says she doesn't have sore nipples. Is there
some kind of muscle/ductal spasm that can occur on one side? Could this
be a one-sided painful let-down???

TIA for your thoughts.
