thank to to everyone who sent me a reply! There are lots of mission trip workers on this list!

I guess that my long-winded reply sat with this mission group overnight and this morning she emailed me and wondered where her group might be trained to better serve the babies they come across. She mentioned that they usually take sick babies out of homes and nurse them back to health ( with bottles) and she wonders know if perhaps that is not the best thing to do ( I love witnessing a paradigm shift...).

So now my question to the group: is there an LC in DR who can do an 18 hour course for this group? We do the 18 hour course locally, but I think they should learn more about what is culturally appropriate and perhaps get the info there.

If so I would like to pass the contact information along to the mission group.

Thanks in advance,

  Hello group,

I received a solicitation from a local Christian missionary group today asking me to please donate infant formula for an upcoming trip they are taking to Dominican Republic and Haiti. I was asked because I facilitate a local new mother support group and perhaps they thought I would easily be able to collect donations.
