I agree with others here.Drain needs to come out & mum keep breastfeeding if 
she wants to.
This poor mum needs another opinion or  to speak up ,with evidence if 
necessary.  
Definately no need to wean if she doesnt want to.We leave the drain in for 
one day or few at most & send home with a daily dressing(pack with normal 
saline gauze.What do others do?).As long as the incision doesnt get in   the 
way she can breastfeed.Its messy & takes weeks to heal up.Usually no need 
for antibiotics if abcess cleaned out properly although opinions differ on this.
