Hi everyone

Women are often told that stress, fatigue, etc will inhibit their let-down (milk
ejection reflex). Is there actually any evidence for this. I know that the
conditioned reflex (eg MER when hears baby cry, thinking of baby) can be affected,
but some sources claim that the unconditioned reflex (baby feeding at breast) is
not affected by these factors.
If anyone has any information or references relating to this? If so, I'd be
delighted to hear from you.

Also, (I'm obviously having too much time to think over our summer holidays!!)
swallowing air during breastfeeds. Many babies seem to need burping after feeds,
even if they feed well and don't apparently seem to swallow air during feeds.
Do all babies take in some amounts of air during feeds? If so, from where. I imagine
that their mouth should seal out air from leaking in around lips unless latch is poor.
What about via the nose ?? Anyone with any ideas??
