While I haven't made ice cream out of breastmilk, I have successfully used
bm as slushies for my children when they were teething.  I have made bm
popsicles for these teethers and recommended it to many moms (who reported
great success with it).  Another technique is to take the frozen bm baggies
and snip off an end so they can chew on it and get small amounts (I'm not
sure about the plastic exposure though).   This is probably one of those
things that gives me the esteemed title of the local Breastfeeding
Evangelist. : )
