I think if couples find that giving EBM works for them, then fine. But I
personally have a problem with the couples who use the excuse to not
breastfeed because they want the father to bond with the baby. For us, my
husband is thrilled watching me nurse the babies and wouldn't want to take
away from that relationship. he does other things like change diapers and
help with baths. And he has a wonderfully close relationship with his
children. Now that they are toddlers he can cuddle them and play with them
and all is well. i wish fathers wouldn't worry so much about bonding to
their children. I think it is a natural process that occurs regardless of
feeding the baby. Afterall, what was done when there weren't any bottles.
Fathers were doing other things. Fathers have so many different things to
offer their children that moms just don't have I feel.
