In general, the product looks very good--most folks would not recommend bitter orange, but perhaps the dosage is very low or synergistic with the other herbs in some way. When I went to the website, it is even recommended directly given to children 12 and up, so I would suggest calling them for info, if the nutritionist cannot answer the question (including by muscle-testing the baby).

Subject: Thyroid herbal complex safe with breastfeeding?

Hi All,

I am no herbalist - and one of my moms sent me the following so I am asking
for assistance. Can she take this? Her boy is 9 months old (and cute as
heck!). Thank in advance! Please e-mail privately to

The Nutritionist/herbalist muscle tested my thyroid, it is a little low, she
recommended a product which she has used and had good luck with on lots of
her patients. It is called Quantum rx thyroid complex by Quantum Nutrition

ves) Pacific Yew (needle) (tazus brev.) Nopal Cactus (whole) (opuntia fic.)
Kelp (whole) (Ascophyllum nod) Blue Green Algae (whole) (aphan flos)
Chlorella (whole) (chlorella pyr) Turmeric (rhizome) (curcuma l) Bitter
Orange (fruit) (citrus aur) uva ursi (leaf) (arctostaphylos u) Yucca (root)
(yucca schid) protease, lipase, Amylase, cellulase, invertase, lactase,
maltase, free form Amino Acids (rice Source) other ingredients vegetable
cellulose capsule.
