I would be very interested how these sleep problems are defined. I doubt that
infants do have common sleep problems *themselves*, but that the normal
infant sleeping behaviour is, by the parents, perceived as being problematic.
Parents may not accept this behaviuor, on the other hand have to cope with it
and thus might be more prone to develop depressive symptoms.
My experience, both personal as professional, is that once parents accept
thair infants' sleeping patterns as normal, they stop fighting them and
become more relaxed and less fatigued.
Wonder if I am the only one with a hypothesis like this?
