Basically when mothers ask me about the big party they plan on attending or about alcohol, I talk about how they need to arrange for someone to care for their baby if they drink enough that they would be afraid that they wouldn't pass the breathalizer test.  I frame the issue of alcohol ingestion around the ability to care for the baby and after that discuss alcohol in the milk. I think Rachel Myr posted something to this effect many years ago which reframed the discussions about alcohol for me.
