Forget the green milk and pretend I never posted it! I just found out that
the baby has an ear infection (talk about a confounding variable!), that he's
been vomiting up his anitbiotic, and that the doctors have told the mother to
stop giving the baby his antibiotic because the antibiotic that she's on will
take care of the baby's ear infection! AAARRGGHHH! I'm so frustrated! This
mother probably has green milk when she and the baby are well--maybe green is
the color her milk is supposed to be for pity's sake! God knows it's not
easy being green! I just told my Lactation Specialist to tell the mother to
forget culturing her milk and stop expressing it. Her milk is probably fine
and she needs to look for other reasons for the baby's refusal to nurse. I'm
going to go beat my head against a wall somewhere!
