Hi Deborah,

Coach Smith here with some teaching tips.

The three most important messages are (1) making milk is easy, (2)
breastfeeding is comfortable and fun, and (3) help is available.

Once you've taught them HOW, then you can talk about why it's good, etc.  If
they don't know how to do it, it won't help to know that you "should" do it.

So teach how to make plenty of milk - use it or lose it. Teach latch and
positioning so there's no pain. And give them a handout on getting help.
