Hi all'
I have a question regarding this. Wouldn't this be unhealthy? Shouldn't a
16 mo old have other things in her diet or is she still getting everything
she needs from moms milk? I have been told by my Ped. that babies start
needing more nutrients and stuff like that, and that moms milk is wonderful,
but as the child gets older, moms milk just isn't enough.
Also, about the antibodies in mothers milk... I have a mom who was told by a
nurse NOT to refrig or freeze her milk because it would kill the antibodies
and put the milk on the same level as formula. My limited info says that
this nurse is WAY off base. It was my understanding that the antibodies are
fine through refrig and freezing, but they can be killed by overheating on
the stove or in the microwave.
TIA :)
