Betsy, your post was headed "Microscopic blood in stools".  I assume the blood was not visible to the eye?  If so, without testing, no one would know and no one would worry.  Was there any particular reason for the test?
    Eliminating green leafy vegetables without good reason, for reasons which are largely to do with cultural beliefs, is going to restrict the mother's diet even more, and give her another reason to quit breastfeeding.
