FYI, here is LLLI's philosophy of discipline:

"From infancy on, children need loving guidance which reflects
acceptance of their capabilities and sensitivity to their feelings."

The tie-in to breastfeeding is clear. Acceptance and sensitivity are
why mothers respond to their babies, as in a baby's cue to breastfeed.
The responsiveness of a mother to her breastfeeding baby is the basis of
attachment parenting.

Perhaps you are mistaking permissiveness, which is how some mothers
(breastfeeding or not) interpret acceptance and sensitivity, with loving
guidance.

LLLI also has philosophy statements on birth, mother-baby separation in
the early years, fathers, and nutrition. There are ten statements of
philosophy in all.
