Ione,
I couldn't agree more that midwifery care is a wonderful way of promoting
women's health and pregnancy and birth with minimal intervention.  However, I
don't see most women until late in pregnancy when they have already chosen a
primary care provider.  Also, I think midwives and doulas make a great team.
