I looked into this at one time because I use EPO myself to manage PMS (for
which my husband is eternally grateful). I believe the main issue is simply
that starflower oil contains a lot more GLA (gamma linoelic acid I think)
than EPO. You can get a much bigger dose from one capsule of starflower than
say 5 of EPO so people prefer it for that.
