I have a client with a baby that is being investigated for Cornelia Delange Syndrome. I'm wondering if there are any LC's out there who have worked with infants with this syndrome and whether there is any breastfeeding documentation on working with babies with this syndrome. I will be seeing this baby tomorrow for the first time and I would like to have some answers for this mother. Currently this baby is feeding at breast and finger feeding with EBM after feeds. Mother states that the baby is not taking supplement offered. Mother also states that the baby spits up through her nose, so I will be checking for a cleft palate (and possible reason that supp is not going well). Her midwife suspects posterior tongue tie as well. Any other tips or information would be very welcome.

Thanks,
Karen Nielsen RN BScN IBCLC
