Hi All!
Sometimes, Fenugreek, used alone isn't successful in assisting mom with
supply increase.  In cases such as these I ask a few questions.  First,
where did the Fenugreek come from and is it pure and potent?  Sometimes,
health food store brands are pretty weak.  Second, are there any symptoms
of hormone imbalance that can be leading to low supply.  You said that this
mom is already on some kind of hormone replacement therapy.  In cases where
the supply problem is being caused by a hormone imbalance, we need to take
a different approach.  Fenugreek does contain a chemical that mimicks
estrogen in the body, but will not do anything for progesterone or others.
I have had some success in treating these moms with either Wild Yam or
Chaste Tree Berries or a combination.
I'd suggest this mom have her hormone levels checked.  In the meantime, try
adding Blessed Thistle - 2-3 caps Blessed Thistle 3 times daily while
taking Fenugreek Tea (or caps if need be, but the tea seems to work better)
twice daily.
