Tendercare lanolin and gel pads can be used together. What my patients say is if there is breakdown on the nipple surface, bacitracin or all purpose nipple cream applied to the Tendercare hydrogel (they cut them in half to make them go further) keeps the ointment on better and the healing is much quicker. Sort of like a circumcision dressing (are those still being done?).

I am not a fan of lanolin but just a general question, as this came up in discussion at work, and I am finding conflicting info on some blogs.
Lansinoh site says no need to use together but also no harm. Other sites
(blogs) participants say the lanolin breaks down the gel too fast, and I've also heard using them together causes skin breakdown?
