Several mothers I have worked with have had great success using the vitamin therapy laid out in the excellent book, "Fertility, Cycles and Nutrition" by Marilyn Shannon (available in the LLL catalogue). I myself was able to use this therapy to lower prolactin levels which were interfering with fertility (causing a shortened luteal phase). The women I know who have tried it found results within the first month. It helps if the mom is charting her fertility, observing for mucous and temperature-- the results will be evident there. Consultation with a natural family planning teacher can help to interpret the cycle.
