Teresa suggested sharing bf info by saying:
Can't the
information be shared as

Those of us with years of experience can also share other information
that has changed, since our older children were small. I find that
saying "Well, what the studies are showing *now* is that..." is very
helpful, non-threatening, and shared with the same kind of spirit of
discovery that I like to use to share information with all new mothers.
It's also important to recognize that many mothers feel they have
cheated their older children because they didn't practice ap or bf them,
and do now. I find it helpful to tell them that their older children
benefit from everything they learn at whatever their age; for instance,
I parent my teenagers differently now than I would have if I had not
gained from the experience of mothering my little ones in a different
way. I think the key is sharing everything with compassion.
