Hi All,
Thanks to all who sent info on Diflucan for my client. Here is an update...

Her regular Dr. refused to prescribe Diflucan for her regardless of the info
(even yours Tom!). Mom works for a center that treats low income, homeless,
drug addicted pregnant moms. The Dr there went ahead and prescribed Diflucan
for my client using the instructions I gave mom on doseage! (this Dr had NO
info on this Med, but trusted the info mom had been given. Seems a little
Not-ok to me, but the mom got her meds.) Mom took 200mg day 1, then 100mg
for days 2-5, then developed a nasty skin rash! She discontinued the
Diflucan. Her yeast was MUCH improved, however.
Now, how common is this type of reaction/side effect? Is it ok to continue
taking the med, or better to stop, as this mom did? Her rash, after 2 days
off meds, is still itchy, but resolving.
Thanks for all info!
Jay
