Just an update on the mom with twins and one nipple confused
twin........ She just called, in good spirits jokingly mentioned that
she thinks there's a black cloud hanging over her.

Consistently, anyone who nurses on the left is getting max 20cc's.
Max. ditto for pumping on that side. She notices that when pumping,
there are always just the same two sprays of milk coming from the
nipple. She did have a bad case of plugged ducts and mastitis two years
ago on that side....she's wondering if permanent damage occured. The
left was also extremely engorged and difficult to relieve with a pump,
even in the early days. Hmmmmm.

The right side, who has been the powerhouse, nursing everyone is now
lumpy, bumpy and tender in the upper right quadrant. OMG. I feel for
her but can't imagine how frustrating this must be - and on top of no
sleep. She's doing all the right things and starting lecithin at this
moment. She had some on hand...

Everyone is nursing overall, but there are still whole days when little
baby won't take the breast.

I'm so glad this mother is who she is. These babies will be breastfed,
probably at least they're three....no matter how hard it is to get this
going. Don't you love it when you run across a mom like this? One who
you know will get that baby breastmillk, at the breast, no matter what
it takes?

just sharing and venting...
