Hi All,

I am scheduled to see a mom who had severe burns on most of her torso, and
more on one breast than the other. This happened about 15 years ago- she
was about 6-8 years old. Any information I am about to give is second hand
from her sister, as I have not met the client yet, but I would like to be
prepared and hear if any of you have worked with any burn victims. This is
her second baby, she apparently spent "thousands" on Lactation consultants
in Australia with previous baby, and was not successful.

Apparently, she suffered from poor milk transfer and severe engorgement. I
assume this is from the severe scar tissue build up that is closing off
ducts? Breastfeeding never went well. I understand that one breast is much
worse than the other.

Any tips before I see her, or any first hand experience with similar cases?

Can you please email me off list in addition to the group.
