Hmmm - you know some of the most famous and brilliant people ever were very 
late to talk - around 7 years. Perhaps we should take this statement "When 
the child can ask for it, it's probably time to move on-stop breastfeeding" 
quite literally and interpret the speaker as meaning that all babies should 
be breastfed for the normal range of when children learn to speak - ie 7 
years.
What a wonderfully supportive man he is ;-)
