I've not read all the posts with the great detail that I should....that fast
mind again! But I wanted to toss this in. I get the occasional call like this
that comes down to a 2-3-4 week old trying to deal with an over active or
very strong let down reflex. This is where an observation of feed or very
detailed description is helpful. I experienced this with my second child but
not the third. She would gulp so fast and then barf it all back up. Or it hit
her palate in just the "right" spot to trigger gagging.
Luckily I was too stubborn to try formula and figured it out with the
help of my LLLLeader. Depending on the angle she was held during the feed,
the time of day and how long it had been since the last feed really affected
this. As baby grows they get better with coping with the flow, too.
