I was reading an article in the Jul 9 edition of the Financial Times (that
had nothing to do w/ bf) and came across the following:
...."There are also cases where even the best-informed consumers will
struggle. In a recent paper entitled "Libertarian Paternalism is not an
Oxymoron", Cass Sunstein and Richard Thaler of the Univ of Chicago law
school say that if one group of patients is told that 90 per cent of people
are still alive five years after a medical procedure, and a second group
hears that 10 per cent are dead five years after the procedure, the first
group is more likely to have operation.*"

Couldn't help but think about all the lactnet discussion comparing
presentation of stats regarding benefits of bf contrasted with
disadvantages of formula.
As I'm quite behind in my reading, hope I'm not repeating anything.
