I have a friend here in Miami that wanted very much to become a leader. She
breastfed both of her boys for years. She was told that because she chose to
return to work when her youngest was 3 months old that she did not
understand LLL philosophy and therefore not a single leader in south florida
would sponser her application. I was really sad for her and disappointed by
this. I don't know if it's commonplace to reject working moms or of it was
just a personal bias from the leaders here.
