Carmela announced her newest baby, now a month old, and described her
situation and wondered what Reverse Pressure Softening is and if it would
be helpful.

I posted privately that the only value of RPS in her situation might be
triggering the let-down reflex well in advance of latching (3-4 minutes)
in hopes that once the "big push" was over, her baby could take the milk
more at her leisure. Virginia told where to find Reverse Pressure
Softening on the web, and I think it is also in the archives for
3-28-01.

Much more help to her in her present situation would be Diane's great
sheet "Gaining, Gulping, Grimacing" to be found on her website
http://people.clarityconnect.com/webpages3/wiessinger/bfing/index.html

Another one of my absolute favorites on overactive let-down reflex is
Melissa Vickers article in Leaven, but I can't remember which issue.
Maybe she can fill that part in for us.
