This is a common problem among the mothers of multiples I know, and
third on the list (after severe nausea and the feeling that your pelvis
will crack if you walk -- probably more than you wanted to know, right?)
of pregnancy discomforts.
Besides Gonneke's homeopathic suggestion, all the good old fashioned
chicken pox remedies (baths in baking soda or oatmeal filters) work
well, and for some women drinking a lot seems to "cure" it from the
inside out -- I expect a lot of us have trouble staying well-hydrated,
especially when chasing (huffing) after the toddlers most MOMs have at
home.
And, no guarantees, but aside from the rarer-than-you'd-expect-if-
you-saw-us-at-36 weeks cases of twinskin, a lot of the bulges and
stretch marks fade away much more quickly than the memories of those top
three discomforts.
