Wilbur was born several years before Orville. They were born at home
(actually in two different states because the family moved after Wilbur was
born) and were breastfed. Given the difference in their ages (NO I didn't
look up their birth dates just for this post), I doubt if they were
tandem-nursed. Wilbur (the older) died when he was 45 years old from
complications of malaria he picked up while traveling. Orville was the
better cook. For any OTHER information that anyone wants to know, even less
relevant to Lactnet, I'd suggest reading one of the many books about these
remarkable men. If you're a history or aviation buff, this is the year to
buy books on aviation. A good resource is the USAF Museum bookstore
