I received a second letter from the White House regarding the White House
Conference on Early Childhood Learning (part of Mrs. Clinton's New Year's
Resolutions, if you recall). It is now subtitled somewhat differently as
"What New Research Tells Us About Our Youngest Children." Previously it was
something like "Conference on Early Brain Development." I wrote to stress
the importance of breastfeeding on early brain development and suggested
they invite people like Drs. Dettwyler and Auerbach, among others.

The letter says that due to limited space, only "a few of the many
qualified individuals who informed us of their interest in the conference"
were invited. However, anyone can attend at established satellite links
throughout the country. You need only notify the contact listed for that
site.

There are 26 states represented on the satellite list. If you are
interested in attending please contact me to determine if there is a
satellite location convenient for you.

Also, any suggestions on how to publicize this locally?
