Hi,

Just thought I'd add my personal experience with the Isis pump. I loved it!
I was very sceptical at first, but I actually found it more effective than
the ameda electric and the Medela Lactina. I used it to express milk for a
friend's baby, when mine was about 12mnth old. I had returned to the paid
workforce when my first baby was 6 weeks old and felt myself to be something
of an expert on expressing, having used, variously, hand expressing (which
I'm not that good at) kaneson and medelas handpumps, and lactina and ameda
electric pumps. I found with the Isis that, curiously the 'petals' (lumps)
did do what they were supposed to (though I suppose they weren't massaging
the milk sinuses if there are none:) I have very big, soft breasts, so I
could never do it one handed, but at least I could walk around and express.

Regards
Barb, IBLC
