Why is it that if a baby rejects the breast, Dr's (okay not *all*
doctors...) automatically say, "oh well, just give the baby the bottle
and everyone will be happy," but if an infant who is nursing wonderfully
rejects a bottle this is seen as some sort of huge problem that has to be
solved!!! I have a good friend who has a three week old, and she is not
even planning on going back to work (she is a student, and has three
hours a day worth of classes) and her Dr. is pressuring her to "get the
baby used to a bottle... give at least one bottle a day... she will take
it if she is hungry enough." They sure never say "she will take the
breast if she is hungry enough!!" Geez... oh well, feels good to vent at
least!
