Hi Susie,
Being in the "business" for over 20 years, I think we have tried every doll,
from the cheapest, funniest, most expensive and I have found my kids'
cabbage patch dolls are great!!!!! (they are more than 20 years old!!
Haven't aged a bit!) I have heard and seen LC's even using stuffed monkeys
(ok, maybe not the most credible) and other stuffed animals,
Positioning is what is important, which you can show with a doll, but they
have not yet manufactured a doll that will latch well, so no matter what you
use, keep in mind that
1. most pre-birth moms will retain 50% or less of what you teach them in the
best of times,
2. those who are after birth, will have a real live doll to practice with!!
