Probably the big thing to remember regardless of offering solids before/after
brfdg is that the baby does not *need* large amounts/the whole jar (!) (or
bowl, if homemade) of food and that most of the time it is more a
developmental issue/ie learning to use the tongue/mouth than a nutritional one
 (children left too long on liquids sometimes refuse solids--though this may
be more an ABM/children with disabilities issue than with the usual infant).
Generally I advise moms to wait until the kid is interested in *your*
plate/food rather than schedule a time to eat--there's a variety of good
material that discusses cues, like being able to sit up, grab, etc)
