Sorry for taking so long to respond to this thread but I am so far behind. I have nursed two boys--one for 3.5 years and the other one for just a little over 3 years due to me being ill.  Neither of them really remember much about their nursing experience.  They are now almost 7 and 10.5 years of age.  I nursed my oldest who is a girl until 3.5 years also and am still nursing my just turned 3 year old daughter.  As you can see the age had nothing to do with how long I nursed each of my children.
