As a LLLLeader, I just saw a mom with Grade 3
inverted nipples (nipples did not evert with pumping)

I have recently received **some** information that Grade 3
mom usually have an insufficient milk supply
due to (at least in part) low prolactin levels (Aono et al., 1977)
(I do not have access to this study.)

Can someone explain what the process is. Is it just due
to lack of nipple stimulation -- if so can't mom go on
to a full supply as a pump dependent mom ? Or, is
this a part of a larger phenomenon and the low prolactin
and short ducts are just part of a larger picture.

Thanks !
