        at least in america, there is a tremendous push for children to GROW
UP... so the idea of them "still" at the breast... a decidedly infantile
behavior makes adults very uncomfortable.

        again, at least in america, there is a tremesdous aversion to
touching... we do not touch each other, our spouces or our children.
breastfeeding is touching to the extreme...
