I have heard this related to hypoglycemia. Is mother eating well and can she
eat small frequent meals esp. before nursing. Can she try some cold jello or
frozen popsicle right before or during the feeding? What about some hard
candy like lifesavers or lemon drops?
Or sipping some ginger ale, 7Up, or (here in the south our staple) sweet
tea?

Also could there be any psychological barriers, abuse history issues?
Someone may be able to delicately approach this subject with the mom?
